Our story
Three brothers. One locked door.
MedLink was founded by John Furchi with his brothers Joseph and Joshua, from Bridgeport, Connecticut. Each of us ran into the same wall from a different side.
The difference between who gets into healthcare and who doesn't too often comes down to access, not ability.
John
One connection changed everything
John learned early how much a single connection can matter. Through a contact at church, he landed a sales internship in real estate. One conversation turned into real experience, real mentors, and a clear, firsthand look at a career.
At the same time, he watched classmates who dreamed of working in medicine hit a wall. They were just as driven and just as capable. But they didn't know a doctor who could bring them along for a day, and no one was handing out introductions. The gap between them wasn't talent. It was access.

Joseph
You can't commit to a job you've never seen
Joseph is majoring in civil engineering, but medicine keeps pulling at him. The problem is that switching means betting years of school and a lot of money on a career he has never seen from the inside.
He doesn't need a brochure. He needs one day beside a doctor, or one honest conversation about what the job really asks of you. Right now, there's no simple way for a student like Joseph to get either. So the question stays open, and the decision keeps getting pushed back.

Joshua
Everyone says find a mentor. No one says how.
Joshua is pre-med. He has already committed to the path and is doing the work. What he's missing is people. The medical students and residents who could tell him what actually matters are busy, spread out, and hard to reach unless you already know one.
He has been working hard to network, and it has been a grind. Every pre-med student hears the same advice: find mentors. Almost no one is shown where to look.

Together
So we're building the door
Three brothers, three versions of the same problem. We aren't guessing at what students need, because we are the students. MedLink is the network we wish we'd had: one trusted place where talent, not connections, opens the door.
