Terms of Service

MedLink connects students with verified healthcare mentors, preceptors, research groups and clinical sites. By using MedLink you agree to these terms.

Who can use MedLink

• You must be at least 13 years old. We don't create accounts for anyone younger.
• Students aged 13–17 need a parent or guardian's approval before they can send requests or messages.
• People who help students (mentors, preceptors, lab and site staff) must be 18 or older and are verified by our team before they appear to students.

How you'll behave

• Be honest about who you are and your credentials.
• Keep conversations respectful, professional, and on MedLink. Don't ask students for personal contact details or to meet outside an agreed opportunity.
• Never share patient information or photos from clinical settings. Follow every site's privacy (HIPAA) and confidentiality rules.
• Don't spam, harass, or misuse the platform. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Safety

Messages are stored. A student's parent or guardian can read their student's messages, and our team reviews reported or automatically flagged conversations. Use the Report button if anything feels wrong.

Payments

Mentorship, shadowing and research are free for students. Students placed in a clinical rotation pay a one-time placement fee, only after a preceptor accepts them. Part of the fee is paid to the preceptor. Refund terms: to be finalized.

No guarantees

We verify the people and places on MedLink, but we can't guarantee any opportunity, outcome, admission, or placement. Opportunities are provided by their hosts, not by MedLink.
